It's About Telling A Story

I learned photography from growing up in a house with a darkroom, shooting and processing in black and white, where contrast and story are the most important elements. The best photographs will tell you what has happened, what is happening, or imply what is about to happen.

In short, it's about the story.

I experimented enough in videography to learn that story is just as important in moving frames as it is in still photography. Although I leave film and video production to the pros, whenever I write a script or draw a storyboard I try to stay mindful of the story I want to tell.
